MySQL is the world's most popular open source RDBMS which provides almost all the features what provides by other enterprise RDBMS. Originally, it was a product of MySQL AB corporation. But, after becoming popular, it has been purchased by Sun Microsystem which has also been purchased by Oracle corporation. So, it has become a subsidiary of Oracle corporation.
